This is a story about a black wolf who was raised by a young boy.  The wolf, at maturity, was torn between loyalty to the only family she had ever known and the call of the wild.  The call of the wild won out, but she came back one day and left one of her pups—a solid black male.  The little wolf pup was named Spike.  He was a loyal and faithful companion to the boy and his family.  Spike became a hero and a legend and was loved to the end.
